Dallas-based designer Jan Showers believes each project should be unique and represent the clients personalities and lifestyles. Showers says, One should look and feel great in their rooms, otherwise, why bother? Showers style has been described by her clients as chic and timeless. Jan has written two books: Glamorous Rooms and her follow-up, Glamorous Retreats, both published by Abrams. Her magazine credits alone place her in the highest echelon of designers. They include Architectural Digest, Elle Dcor, Veranda, where she appeared in their Best of the Best issue, House Beautiful, InStyle Home, Traditional Home, British Home and Garden, Harpers Bazaar, and Luxe, which included her on their Gold List. Architectural Digest has named Jan Showers & Associates to the AD100, its preeminent directory to the international world of design. Aside from Jans interior design business, her career spans across three different businesses. Jan has a to-the-trade custom furniture collection the, Jan Showers Collection which is available across showrooms in the U.S. Premiering in the fall, Jan is launching another furniture collection known as the 1308 Collection which will be available in only one showroom and that is hers located in the Dallas Design District on 1308 Slocum Street. Also, at this showroom Showers has been selling her antique and vintage pieces for over 20 years. Travelling annually overseas she has created a cumulative collection. Jan is pleased to show you how the new and old coexist in her showroom. Partnership in the business are very important to Jan and hear team. Showers partnerships include a full lifestyle collection with Kravet Couture, a hand-knotted rug series for Moattar, Inc., a lighting series with L.A. based designer Joe Cariati and a cowhide rug collection for Kyle Bunting. Jan and Kravet are currently working to bring you a new collection for Kravet. Reared in small town Texas, Jan possesses a rare fusion of sophistication and warmth, poise and a good sense of humor. When asked why shes so good at what she does, her reply is always that she truly loves her work.
