JAS Interior Designs - Janine Silva Arietta, Allied ASID

An award-winning designer, Janine is based in the heart of Silicon Valley. Janine has amassed over 10 years of design experience in residential, sustainable and hospitality markets. Currently she is Principal Designer at JAS Interior Designs LLC, and her projects are primarily in the mid to high-end residential markets. Recently, Janine was sworn in as President-Elect of ASID California Peninsula Chapter from 2022-23. Janine enjoys the creative freedom of designing an adaptable and flexible space using custom solutions and finishes resulting in a truly one-of-a-kind environment. Her award-winning projects have been published in Luxe Magazine. Training the eye is critical, and Janine fuels her passion and creativity by traveling and observing. She sees beauty in all things-both living and non-living, and in the imperfect. She believes there is energy and rhythm to good design, and her goal is to create harmonious spaces which are soulful, livable and playful (with safety as the main emphasis). She loves playing with textures, patterns and color. Janine sees herself as a rigorous empathetic and facilitator-- ensuring her clients' dreams are met within their desired budget. She is currently studying for her NCIDQ certification. Janine is results driven, passionate, creative, and enjoys solving complex problems while thinking outside the box. Janine has been an ASID (American Society of Interior Designer) member since 2009. In May 2014 she graduated with honors with an A.S. in Interior Design from West Valley College, Saratoga, CA. She also earned a B.S. in Marketing from Merrimack College, North Andover, MA. in 1985. Janine has held various positions on the ASID California Peninsula Chapter board since 2009, and is recently serving as the President-Elect. Janine received ASID National recognition as Student Representative of the Year in 2011, and received various Gold and Silver Chapter Design Awards. She dedicates her free time to her family and faith. In 2016, Janine traveled abroad on a two-week humanitarian mission to remote regions of northern Thailand where she donated her time and energy to the Karen tribe.
