KLS INTERIOR DESIGN, LLC - Kimberly L Schapiro, Allied ASID

Kim brings over 20 years of hands-on design experience to her clients projects. In addition to earning a BA in interior design from Washington State University (Go Cougs!), Kim has worked on the vendor side, as well as at a large residential firm where she learned the ins and outs of specifying and designing homes as large as 14,000 square feet from the architectural phase all the way through to the furnishings and decorating. Somewhere in that mix, she also married and had two daughters. Kim launched KLS in 2010, with a drive to help homeowners create spaces that reflect their tastes and that function for their lifestyles. She starts every project by asking the right questions and listening closely to what the clients need and what they love. She takes their tastes into account, filtering them through her expert perspective and coming out on the other side with a polished form of their own personal style. When it comes to creating project drawings for her clients, while Kim uses many different approaches, she often prefers the more personal approach of hand drawing. Its this process of taking pencil to paper that allows her to connect deeply to her clients and their projects, tapping into her problem-solving abilities and creating details that make all the difference in their spaces and any custom pieces she designs just for them. In addition to her beautiful designs, Kim is known for her friendly smile, her contagious laughter, and her ability to keep projects organized and moving forward. She works methodically while making sure to communicate with her clients about her ideas and the reasons behind them, ensuring the clients feel empowered and heard. The positive experience Kim provides during their projects and the attention to detail she brings to their designs result in many happy clients who love living in their beautiful new spaces.
